Peer Pressure

At the pre-adolescent stage of development, children become conscious of the phenomenon of peer pressure; its power and influence. Through activities, group discussion and role-plays, our programme focuses on key areas where Peer Pressure may be a factor e.g. body image, fashion, smoking, alcohol etc. We equip the children with key skills in communicating and relating with self-confidence, focusing on the need to say ’no’ when appropriate.

Our programme describes:

  • What is peer pressure? Where do we see it occurring?
  • The positive and negative sides to peer pressure
  • Our personality type: how we react differently to peer pressure
  • Activities and role-plays
